Fix your Milwaukee Bucks with this one weird trick
The trick: playing the Utah Jazz. (And maybe shaking up the starting five.)
Good morning. Let’s basketball.

Blazers 105, Spurs 118 — Another quiet night for Victor Wembanyama. This was weird.
Devin Vassell is expected back on Saturday, which is good news for people who want to watch the Spurs more.
Jazz 100, Bucks 123 — Doc Rivers shook up the starting five, replacing Gary Trent Jr. with Andre Jackson Jr., citing the need for more athleticism in the lineup. (Trent actually only played eight minutes off the bench. Something to monitor.) And lo! Milwaukee got the win. That’s probably more about the opponent than the change, but …
Timberwolves 135, Bulls 119 — Chicago carried a small lead for most of the game, and then the Timberwolves just exploded offensively, which teams can definitely do against the Bulls. The Wolves dropped 45 points in the fourth quarter. With nine minutes left in the game, the Bulls led 106-101. With just under two minutes remaining, the Wolves led 131-114. A 30-8 run over just seven minutes.
I absolutely love seeing an aggressive Rudy Gobert. His hands leave something to be desired, he’s not the toughest finisher and he’s not a plus free throw shooter. But he’s very long and has some ball skills. Some! Enough to score consistently on Nikola Vucevic.
Anthony Edwards had 13 points in five minutes in the fourth. Sheesh.

Another slap across Philadelphia’s face: Tyrese Maxey will miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury. It looks like the Sixers might be whole after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, the season started a month before that.
Bronny James will soon be assigned to the South Bay Lakers. He won’t be traveling with the G League team, and will shuttle back and forth between the various levels of Lakerdom.
In which Joe Mazzulla is asked if he’s talked to Jaylen Brown about his hip injury, and Mazzulla replies that because both of them mumble when they talk he has no idea what’s going on with it. Legitimately funny.
I really like Chaz NBA’s YouTube channel because he’ll do stuff like take a series of plays that led to J.J. Redick benching D’Angelo Russell against the Grizzlies and lay over Redick’s post-game comments about Russell’s low effort and lack of attention to detail. It really paints a picture!

It looks like the Warriors won yesterday’s deep dive poll, so expect that Tuesday. Monday will be some sort of organized weekend recap. And who knows what else the future brings?
Be excellent to each other.
"Do you expect that to continue?"
"The mumbling, or the injury?"
Looking forward to a chippy Mavs/Suns game tonight!
